Based in Peterborough we can provide regulated first aid courses for one day Emergency First Aid at Work to combined First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid which is ideal for school teachers and people who work in areas where both adults and children frequent like shopping arcades and supermarkets..

We  provide Pre Hospital Care courses in the form of First Response Emergency care levels 3 and 4, level 4 ILS.

First Aid Courses

All of our First Aid Courses are regulated through QualsafeAwards, we can Taylor make any course to fit the needs of your work environment also. We currently run 16 First Aid Course below are the more common courses we run.

 QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)

The  QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work  (RQF) is a nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities..

 QA Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) 

The QA  Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid  (RQF) qualification has been designed in-line with the current Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements and is ideal for:

  • Those who have gained a level 2 or 3 childcare qualification and have entered into an early years setting and wish to be included in the staff to child ratios to comply with the EYFS requirements.
  • Anyone who cares for infants and children, such as parents, guardians, grandparents or those who have an involvement with infants and children, and wants to learn key paediatric first aid skills.

QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)

The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)  is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for those who are appointed  to act as a first aider in their workplace. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide first aid in voluntary and community activities. This qualification is not suited to the event industry As even first aiders.

QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid 

The  QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) has been specifically designed to meet the criteria set by the Department for Education’s EYFS Framework and is ideal for:

  • Those who have gained a level 2 and/or level 3 childcare qualification and have entered into an early years setting and wish to be included in the staff to child ratios to comply with EYFS requirements.
  • Registered childminders and assistants who are required to hold a current and full paediatric first aid certificate in order to comply with the EYFS requirements.
  • Anyone who has a non-professional involvement with infants and children, such as parents and grandparents who want to learn key paediatric first aid skills.

Combined First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid

Combining the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work  and the Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid into 3 extended days of classroom learning, this specially designed course provides the skills and knowledge needed to provide both adult and paediatric first aid, whilst minimising the number of training days required to achieve both qualifications. 

Streamlined perfectly to avoid the duplication of topics associated with attending both the First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid courses separately, the Combined First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid course has been specifically designed for those who work in settings that require both First Aiders and Paediatric First Aiders, such as schools, sports clubs or other childcare settings.  

Combined Emergency First Aid at Work and Emergency Paediatric First Aid

Combining the  Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work and the  Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid into 1 extended day of classroom learning, this specially designed course provides the skills and knowledge needed to provide both emergency adult and paediatric first aid. This minimises the number of training days required to achieve both qualifications. 

Pre Hospital Care Courses

We offer a range of Pre hospital Care courses so if you are looking at a career in the event industry providing medical aid, working in the security sector or looking for a future career in the ambulance services as a paramedic this is the first step you can take.

FREC 3

Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) covers the full range of skills required by the HSE for First Aid, and is the leading qualification for event cover. For those with further ambitions, it also forms the first step towards a career in Pre Hospital Care.

FREC 4

Qualsafe Level 4 Certificate inFirst Response Emergency Care (RQF) Asthe next step for those who have completed the Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF), this qualification provides learners with a wider scope of practice in Prehospital care emergencies, allowing for greater employment opportunities.

Level 4 ILS

Qualsafe Level 4 Award in Immediate Life Support (RQF). This regulated qualification has been specifically designed to enable learners to develop their knowledge and skills in providing emergency care to patients experiencing cardio respiratory arrest or life-threatening illnesses and injury in a prehospital care environment.

Emergency Medical Gases

Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Medical Gases (RQF). This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides learners with the knowledge, skills and understanding to deal with emergency care in a prehospital environment where delivery of medical gases may be required.

Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF)

The Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling is a regulated and Nationally recognised course designed for those who or intend to work, in a role that involves manual handling. 

Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (RQF)

The Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who work, or intend to work, in a role that involves assisting and moving people. It is ideal for those working in a variety of health and social care environments such as care homes.

Overview

Over a 2 day period, learners will develop the knowledge and skills relevant to manual handling of objects and the safe moving and handling of people. Topics covered include: common handling injuries, the potential impact on a person if moved incorrectly, personal handling plans, preserving dignity, health and safety when moving a person and using equipment.
